Care instructions for SILK and COTTON fabric.
Manoir is a delicate fabric woven with Silk and Cotton and needs to be handled
with extra special care and attention for best results.
This blended fabric will bloom a little after laundering and the fabric will take on a slightly new appearance, with a bit of raised texture, which is the intended result.
Machine wash on a gentle cycle, cool water, separately (no other articles mixed in). Do not use bleach or any detergent containing bleach or enzymes.
We highly recommend turning inside-out to protect the face fabric from agitation and rubbing during the washing and drying process.
Put into dryer and remove before fully dry, with some dampness still in the fabric fibers, (80% dry). Immediately remove from dryer, complete the drying process by smoothing out over the mattress, a large flat surface or a railing.
DO NOT OVER-HEAT, be very careful NOT to OVER-DRY. Too much heat will compromise the silk fibers and result in excessive wrinkling.
You may also dampen the fabric with a water spray bottle lightly misting water evenly over the duvet cover and pillow shams while already dressed
on the bed as a finishing touch (or before storing it in your linen closet.)
To better preserve the original finish, we recommend using an experienced & reputable dry cleaner or professional launderer. However, it is normal for some of the original luster to diminish with dry cleaning or laundering, as this is the nature of silk.
